By creating an account or using SIP.wine ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the app due to alcohol-related content. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with the laws of your jurisdiction, including local laws regarding the consumption and purchase of alcoholic beverages.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The app is for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to: • Use the app in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation. • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code from the app. • Scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the app at scale. • Misrepresent yourself, your taste profile, or impersonate another user. • Use the app to harass, abuse, or harm other users. • Upload content that is unlawful, offensive, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.

The app uses AI to identify wines from photos and to generate recommendations based on your taste profile. These results are best-effort and may be inaccurate or incomplete. The app is provided as a discovery aid, not as professional advice. Always verify wine details (producer, vintage, allergens, alcohol content) from the bottle and from your retailer before purchasing or consuming.

SIP Circle is a paid subscription service. By subscribing, you agree to: • Recurring billing through Apple's App Store at the price displayed at the time of purchase. • Auto-renewal at the end of each subscription period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. • Managing your subscription, including cancellation, through your Apple ID settings. We cannot cancel an Apple-managed subscription on your behalf. • Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the trial's end unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's policies.

The app allows you to log wines, save preferences, and connect with friends. You retain ownership of any content you provide. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content as needed to operate the app and the features you have enabled. Content shared with friends through the app (e.g., wine activity, taste comparisons) is visible to those friends per the visibility you set. Choose your visibility level carefully.

The app enables you to connect with other users by handle. You are responsible for the friends you choose to add and for the content you share with them. We do not screen friend requests. Use the block feature for users you no longer wish to interact with.

The app, including its design, code, branding, and content (other than user-generated content and third-party content), is owned by SIP.wine and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

The app integrates third-party services (Supabase, Apple, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Google Maps) to operate. Your use of features powered by these services may be subject to those providers' terms and policies in addition to ours.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that wine identifications and recommendations will be accurate. We do not endorse any wine, producer, or retailer mentioned in the app. Wine consumption involves risks. Drink responsibly. The app is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIP.wine and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app.

You may stop using the app at any time. You may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Singapore.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
